In response to the significant and historic impact of Hurricane Irma in 2017, UF created the “Aid-a-Gator” program as an emergency fund to provide limited assistance to students who experienced a temporary financial hardship due to a hurricane and its aftermath. Undergraduate students and graduate students not on assistantship who experience financial hardship may visit the http://www.sfa./aidagator/SFA Aid-a-Gator webpage for additional information. Additional information is also available http://statements./statements/2019/01/aid-for-students-impacted-by-government-shutdown.htmlhere for students impacted by a government shutdown.

          Apply for Financial Aid

Although you must be accepted for enrollment at UF before you are considered for financial aid, you should apply for aid before being admitted. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at .

You can file a 2020-21 FAFSA as early as October 1, 2019. UF’s “On-Time” deadline to receive the results of your 2020-21 FAFSA from the federal processor is December 15, 2019. Apply well before December 15 to ensure that the federal processor has time to analyze and send the results of your FAFSA to our office.

Financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis so apply as early as possible to be considered for the most, and best aid. In order for UF Student Financial Affairs to consider you for a financial aid package, you must be a degree-seeking, admitted student, and have met the “On-Time” deadline.  UF Federal School Code 001535.  http://www.sfa./process/how-to-apply-for-aid/MORE INFO
